Sri Caterers

My family started Sri Caterers a while back near the State Bank Colony in Arumbakkam. We mostly do cooking for local weddings and some small house functions on Elango Adigal Street. It’s a busy spot here. I remember when we first got the space, it was just a small kitchen. Now we have more pots and pans but the way we cook hasn't changed much. My nephew helps me with the deliveries sometimes. We usually get people coming in to ask about menus for their kids' birthdays or a family puja. It gets really hot in the kitchen during the summer months, but we manage. Most of the people around Triruvalluvr Nagar know where we are. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just the kitchen where we prep everything. Sometimes we run out of certain spices and have to rush to the local market. It's a lot of work, standing on your feet all day, but seeing the food go out is okay. We try to keep things simple and use what we can get fresh. If you walk past the bank colony at No 14, you’ll probably smell whatever we are frying up that day. It's just us doing what we know. Nothing too complicated about it. The neighbors are used to the noise of the large stoves by now. We just focus on getting the food delivered on time to the nearby houses.
