You can find Sri Balaji Institute at No 206 on Govindappa Naicken Street in Parrys. If you know Parrys, you know how incredibly crowded and tight the streets are. It is a very old part of Chennai with a lot of character. Our building is old too, tucked in between many other shops and businesses. The street is always full of people, carts, and vehicles moving goods. It is very loud outside from early morning until late at night. Inside, it is a bit better, but you can still feel the energy of the market through the walls. We are in the 600001 area, so it’s right in the middle of the commercial hub. The rooms are narrow and the hallways are a bit dark. We don’t have an elevator, so there is some climbing involved every single day. It’s a no-frills kind of place. We have some desks, some old cupboards, and a lot of papers stacked up. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time. People here know each other, and it feels like a village in some ways, despite the massive crowds. The power goes out sometimes, and the heat can be quite a lot in the summer months. We don't have fancy air conditioning everywhere, just some old fans. We just do our work and deal with the daily grind of the Parrys market life. It’s busy, it’s dusty, but it is exactly where we belong.
