Sri Arul Murugan Hardwares

We are located at 177, Arcot Road. Our place is in Alwarthirunagar, and a good way to find us is to look across from the La Chatelaine School Bus Stop. That’s usually how we tell people to get here. Sri Arul Murugan Hardwares has been part of this street for quite a while now. Arcot Road is always busy, so there is constant noise from the traffic and the school buses. Our shop is packed with all sorts of hardware and paint supplies. We have everything from tiny screws to large cans of wall paint. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes because we try to fit a lot of stock into the space we have. I usually work the counter myself. You get to meet a lot of different people from the neighborhood this way. We don’t really do any big marketing. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years. We aren't a polished retail outlet with air conditioning and fancy lights. It’s just a regular hardware store where the floor might be a bit uneven and there’s always a bit of dust on the higher shelves. We try to be helpful when someone comes in with a problem to fix. It’s a decent way to make a living. If you’re near the school bus stop, just look across the road and you’ll see our sign.
