You can find us at No. 21 on State Bank Street. People often call it No. 10 as well, but 21 is the main door we use. We are right near the LIC building, so it’s a very busy part of town. There are always people rushing around to the banks or offices nearby. We’ve been selling bearings here for a long time. The shop is full of metal parts and the smell of grease. It’s not everyone’s favorite smell, but we like it just fine. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes we have to use a tall ladder to get what a customer needs from the top row. It’s a bit of a workout every day. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the local mechanics to stop by. Most of our business comes from people who have been buying from us for decades. We spend a lot of time talking about machine parts and how things are holding up for them. It’s a simple business. We don't have a fancy office in the back, just a small desk where we keep the old ledger. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We enjoy being in this part of the city even if the parking is a nightmare for everyone who visits.
