Exotic Craftss

Over in Porur, on Vaigai Street in Santhose Nagar, is where you’ll find Exotic Craftss. It’s at No:1, so it’s right at the start of the stretch. This is a quieter neighborhood compared to the city center, which we like. The shop is a bit of a collection of all sorts of things. We’ve got handmade items, decorations, and various crafts that we’ve picked up over time. It’s not a huge place, so it feels more like a hobby that turned into a business. We don't have any fancy lighting or professional displays. Most things are just laid out on tables or hung on the walls where they fit. We get a lot of local people walking by who just pop in to see if we have anything new. It’s nice to chat with the neighbors while they look around. Sometimes we’re working on something in the back and have to come out when the bell on the door rings. The street outside is usually pretty calm, except for when school lets out. We don't really do much advertising. People mostly find us by word of mouth or by just wandering down Vaigai Street. It’s a relaxed way to run a shop. We just enjoy the things we sell and hope that the people who buy them like them too. It’s a small, simple operation here in Porur, and that suits us just fine. We just take it day by day.
