Our place is at 52 Rangan Street, right in the heart of T. Nagar. If you've ever been to this part of town, you know it’s basically a non-stop crowd of people and traffic. It’s loud and busy, but that’s actually good for us at India Sourcing Inc. We spend all day looking for suppliers and products for our clients. Being in T. Nagar means we’re right near the markets and can see things for ourselves. The office is pretty small and is usually packed with samples of everything you can imagine—fabrics, plastic parts, metal bits. It looks a bit chaotic to an outsider, but we have a system for where everything goes. We’ve got some old furniture and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s a working office, not a showroom. We don't have any big mission statements or anything like that. We just know who to talk to when someone needs a specific item found. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a quick break from the phones. It’s a lot of hard work and a lot of talking to people to get the best deals. We like the energy of Rangan Street, even if the noise never really stops. We’re just a local sourcing team doing what we know how to do.
