We've been here in Perambur for a good long time now. You can find us right near the Gandhi Statue at No. 259. It is a busy spot but we have grown to like the energy of the area. People come in looking for all sorts of things like nails, various paints, or some plumbing bits they need to fix a sudden leak at home. My father started things out many years ago and now I mostly handle the counter. Shelves are kept packed with whatever the locals usually ask for on a daily basis. Sometimes we do not have exactly what you want right that second, but I usually tell people to come back in a day or two and I will get it from the main market. Air conditioning is not something we have here. It is just a regular hardware shop where we know most of the faces that walk in through the door. Traffic outside can get a bit loud near the statue, especially in the late evenings when everyone is heading home. Opening time is pretty early because workers usually want their supplies before they head to their various sites. Everything gets dusty with all the bags of cement and stuff, but that is just how a hardware shop is. Most of our days are spent just chatting with customers about their house repairs. Prices stay fair so people keep coming back. If you live around here, you have probably seen our sign. Just a place to get your work done.
