International Tools Supply Company is right in the thick of things in George Town. Our address is No-27/C on Mooker Nalla Street, which is in the Parrys area. If you know Parrys, you know it’s one of the most crowded and chaotic parts of Chennai. The streets are incredibly narrow, and they are always packed with carts, bikes, and people carrying heavy loads. Our shop is just one of many in this maze of trading. We supply tools, so the place is literally filled to the ceiling with boxes and metal items. There isn't much room to move around once you get inside. It’s dusty, and the air is thick with the sounds of the market outside. We don’t have a website that we update or a marketing team. We just open the shutters in the morning and start dealing with whoever comes through the door. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. You have to know where everything is kept because there’s no computer system to tell you. We’ve been here in George Town for a long time, and we’ve seen the area change, though Mooker Nalla Street stays pretty much the same. It’s loud, it’s hot, and it’s very busy, but it’s where the trade happens. We aren't trying to be fancy. We just have the tools people need, and we sell them from our small corner of this huge, old, crowded market.
