If you head down to 22Nd Avenue in Pudhur, Ambattur, you’ll find us at No. 2-A, 3. It’s an industrial sort of area, so there’s always the sound of machinery or trucks moving around. Sreehari Engineering is right in the middle of it all. Our workshop has high ceilings and a concrete floor that’s stained with oil and grease from years of work. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear your best clothes. We have a lot of heavy tools and metal parts lying around, mostly on the big workbenches we’ve had since we started. The lighting isn't the brightest, but we have some strong lamps for when we’re doing the detailed bits. Most of us here have been working together for years, so we don't need to talk much to know what needs doing. It gets pretty loud when the machines are running, so we usually have to shout over the noise. We keep a small kettle in the corner for making coffee when things get a bit slow. The 22nd Avenue location is convenient because it’s easy for the big delivery trucks to pull in and out. It’s a hardworking environment, and by the end of the day, we’re all pretty tired. But it’s good work, and we like being part of the Ambattur community. No fancy offices here, just a lot of metal and hard work every day.
