Solar Furnitures

Our shop is at 5/4, 6th Street in Rangarajapuram. It’s right there in Saidapet. It’s a small street, so it’s usually just the locals walking by. We have a lot of wooden furniture squeezed into the shop. Sometimes it’s hard to move around without bumping into a corner of a table. We’ve been here for a long time and the building is quite old. The walls could use a bit of paint, but we are more worried about the furniture we are making. We spend our days out in the front where there’s a bit more light. You can hear the saws and the hammers going from early morning. It’s a dusty job, so we are always cleaning off the surfaces. We don’t have a big catalog; people usually just look at what we have on the floor. If they want something different, we talk about it and see if we can do it. It’s a simple way of working. The neighbors know us well, and we often share a cup of tea in the afternoons when the sun is at its peak. It’s a hot part of town, but we have a few old ceiling fans that keep the air moving. We aren't trying to grow into a giant company. We just like having our shop in the neighborhood where everyone knows where to find us. It’s just us doing what we know how to do every day.
