Siva Catering Service operates out of Mugappair East, right near M M Hospital in Padi. We aren't a restaurant where you can sit down and eat. Instead, we spend our days in a big kitchen preparing food for events and gatherings. Most of the time, we are getting ready for a wedding or a small house function nearby. It’s a lot of work that people don’t see. We start long before the sun comes up, especially if we have a breakfast order. The kitchen stays hot because the big burners are always going. You will see us loading large stainless steel containers into the back of our vans throughout the day. Our staff is mostly local guys who know how to handle the heavy lifting. We’ve been in this spot at No 10/439 for quite a while now. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of scrubbing big pots and peeling mountains of vegetables. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when three orders have to go out at the exact same time, but we usually manage to get it done. We don't use fancy equipment; it’s mostly just old-fashioned cooking methods that we’ve used for years. People in the Padi area know us by word of mouth mostly. We don't do much advertising because the work keeps us busy enough as it is. It’s just about getting the food to the hall on time.
