We’ve been here at New No. 220 on Angappa Naicken Street for quite a while now. Most people around Parrys know us as the old shop near the General Post Office. It’s a busy area, lots of traffic and people walking by every minute. The shop stays pretty crowded with boxes of different hardware items. We have tools, door fittings, and all those small things you need when something breaks at home. The shelves are packed and sometimes it’s hard to find a specific screw right away, but we usually know where everything is tucked. It gets dusty with all the construction stuff moving in and out. Most of our day is spent talking to regulars who stop by for a single washer or a heavy hammer. We don’t have fancy displays or a big staff. It is just us here handling the stock and making sure things get sold. Sometimes the heat in Parrys gets a bit much, especially in the afternoons, but we keep the doors open. If you are walking down from the post office, you will see our sign. It is a simple place, nothing special to look at, but we have what people ask for. Dealing with the old numbering system and the new one at 150/220 can be confusing for deliveries, but we manage. Just a local shop doing its work every day without making a big fuss about things.
