Silver Streak

We've been here on Peters Road for quite a while now. It's right across from New College, so there's always a lot of students and traffic moving around. If you know Royapettah, you know Indira Garden is a busy spot. Silver Streak is just us doing our thing every day. It’s not a huge fancy place, just a regular shop where we handle whatever comes in. People stop by when they’re passing through or after they finish up at the college. Sometimes the road gets really crowded, especially in the afternoons. We just keep the doors open and get to work. Most days are pretty much the same. We know the neighbors and the other shop owners around here. It's a nice little community once you get used to the noise. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people in. Sometimes someone will ask for directions because they're looking for the college and end up chatting with us for a bit. We try to keep things simple. There isn't much to say other than we're here at number 196 if you're ever in the neighborhood. It's easy to find once you see the Indira Garden sign. We've seen the area change a bit over the years, but we're still sitting here in the same spot. It works for us and it seems to work for the folks who come by. We just take it one day at a time.
