Our place is on Kandan Street over in Shenoy Nagar. If you know the area, it’s a typical Chennai neighborhood with narrow streets and lots of trees. Sd Innovation is a small setup. We don’t have a big fancy entrance. It’s just a door on a busy street. Inside, it’s mostly just us working on different projects. We call it innovation, but really it's just a lot of trying things out until they finally work. We work on various technical tasks and sometimes help people with their gadgets or small business setups. It gets quite hot in the summer, so the fans are always going full blast. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the street change quite a bit. There are more shops now than when we first started. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just like solving problems and seeing things through. Some days we spend hours looking for a single part or a bug in a system. It’s not always exciting, but it’s what we do. The local tea stall is where we spend most of our breaks talking about work or just the weather. We get a lot of walk-ins from people in the neighborhood asking for advice. We don't mind. It’s part of being here. We keep our tools organized, mostly, though the workbench gets messy by the end of the week. It’s a simple operation run by people who like fixing things.
