Pv Traders

Pv Traders is situated at No. 7/67 on Kamatchi Nagar 3rd Street in Iyyappanthangal. This is a bit of a mixed area, with houses and small businesses all jumbled together. The street isn't very wide, so when we get deliveries, things can get a bit tight for a while. Our building is a simple two-story place where we store our goods and do our daily business. Inside, the rooms are filled with sacks or boxes, depending on what we are trading that week. It’s usually just a couple of us moving items around and checking the weight of things. Iyyappanthangal has grown a lot, so there is always a lot of traffic on the main roads nearby, but our street is slightly tucked away. We spend a lot of time writing out receipts by hand and talking to the truck drivers who come through. There’s an old ceiling fan that squeaks as it turns, but it’s better than nothing when the humidity picks up. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on the people who know us in the neighborhood. The front door is usually propped open with a heavy stone to let some air in. It’s a modest way to work, just buying and selling and keeping track of the inventory as it comes and goes through the door. Sometimes the street gets flooded after a heavy rain and we have to put everything on higher pallets.
