Signs India is located right on Anna Salai in Nandanam. We’ve been at this spot for quite a while now, though the building number changed from 406 to 810 a few years back. It gets pretty busy out there on the main road with all the traffic, but inside the shop, we just focus on getting the sign work done. Most days involve handling different types of boards and letters for local shops around Chennai. It’s a lot of manual work, measuring things out and making sure the colors look right before anything goes out. The space is a bit tight with all the materials lying around, but we know where everything is. People usually find us easily because of the landmark, even if parking is a bit of a headache sometimes. We don't have a big fancy office, just a workspace where the actual labor happens. Sometimes the machines are loud and the floor is covered in scraps, but that is just how a sign shop functions. We take orders from walk-ins and some old regulars who have been coming to this part of Nandanam for years. It isn’t anything too complicated. We just open up in the morning, check the list of jobs, and start cutting or printing whatever is needed for the day. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from morning until we close up for the evening at the end of the day.
