Our workshop is located at No. 37-F on the Velachery Main Road, right near Vijaya Nagar. If you know Velachery, you know how packed that road gets with cars and bikes at all hours. We’re right there in the middle of it. It’s a small space, but we’ve tucked everything we need into the corners. Being on the main road means there’s always noise coming from outside, but we’re used to it. We do a lot of small engineering jobs for people who just drop in. The shop is a bit cluttered with materials and half-finished pieces, but that’s just how we work. We don’t spend money on fancy painting or big displays. We’d rather spend that time on the tools. Usually, one of us is standing near the entrance while the others are deeper inside working. The rain can be a bit of a problem in this part of town, sometimes the street floods a little, but we stay open and keep the machines dry. We’ve seen the neighborhood turn from a quiet place into a huge hub, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. We take the work as it comes, sometimes it’s one simple piece, other times it’s a whole batch that takes a week. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the sign out front and the work we do every day. It’s a simple life running a shop in Velachery. We just hope the traffic isn't too bad when we head home.
