Shree Baalaji Driving School

We are located at No 69, Shop No 1 on Kalathiappa Street in Choolai. It's right near the Vepery Post Office, which is how most people find us when they are looking for the place. Chennai heat can be something else, so we spend a lot of time either in the small office under the fan or out in the cars. The shop isn't very big, just enough for a couple of chairs and a desk where we handle all the forms and license paperwork. Living and working around here means you get used to the noise of the traffic on the main road. We see a lot of people come through these doors, mostly young folks or sometimes older people who finally decided it’s time to learn how to drive. We don't have fancy decorations or anything. There’s a calendar on the wall and some old registers where we keep track of the driving slots. Every morning starts with checking the cars, making sure there’s enough petrol, and seeing who is scheduled for their first turn behind the wheel. It’s a busy life in this part of town, and the streets around Choolai are narrow, so it really tests a person’s patience. We just keep things moving, one student at a time, making sure they know where the clutch and brake are before they get into the real mess of city traffic. Most days we are just trying to keep the schedule on track.
