Shahi Foods

Our office is up on the 5th floor of Century Plaza in Teynampet. It’s a well-known building in Chennai, though the elevators can be a bit slow during the lunch rush. Shahi Foods has been here for a while now. We handle a lot of different food items. The space is filled with desks and a few small storage areas for samples. Teynampet is a busy part of town, so there's always noise from the street coming up, even on the 5th floor. We spend our days talking to suppliers and making sure the inventory is where it needs to be. It’s mostly paperwork and phone calls. We aren't a big flashy company with glass walls. It’s more of a practical setup where we can get the work done without much fuss. Sometimes the air conditioning acts up, but we manage. Most of the people working here have been around for years. We know the tea stall guy downstairs and the security guards by name. It’s a regular routine of checking orders and making sure the logistics side of things doesn't fall behind. We don't do much in the way of big meetings; we just talk across the desks. It’s a tight-knit group. When things get busy, everyone chips in to help with whatever needs doing, whether it’s filing or taking a message. We have some old metal filing cabinets and the desks have seen better days. But it’s our space and it works for what we do. We don't need a lot of fancy stuff.
