Sudharshan Printline

Sudharshan Printline is tucked away on Senkani Amman Koil Street in Uthandi. We are at No. 206/A, which is part of the Ragunathan Nagar Extension, just off the ECR. It’s a bit quieter out here compared to the middle of the city, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on long print runs. The smell of ink is the first thing you notice when you walk in; it’s something you never really get out of your clothes. We have the machines running in the back, and the floor usually has some scraps of paper or discarded proofs lying around. It’s a small team, so everyone does a bit of everything, from loading the paper to checking the colors. Sometimes the sea breeze from the coast makes it through the door, but usually, it's just the steady rhythm of the presses. We don't have a fancy showroom for people to sit in. If someone wants to see what we do, they just stand by the machine and watch the sheets come out. The walls are a bit stained from years of work, and the desk in the corner is buried under ledgers and sample books. It’s a straightforward shop. We get the files, we set the plates, and we run the job until it's done. That’s pretty much the daily routine for us here in Uthandi.
