Sound System

Our business, Sound System, is located on Mgr Main Road in Alapakkam. We are quite close to Divkalari, so we are easy to find if you know that landmark. The shop is filled with speakers, cables, amplifiers, and all sorts of audio gear. It’s a bit cluttered in here because we always have equipment coming in for repairs or going out for events. We aren't a high-end boutique with glass displays. It is more of a workshop where we test things out and make sure the sound is clear. Sometimes the music or test tones are playing quite loud, which might annoy the neighbors, but they are used to us by now. We’ve been around for a while and have seen technology change from old analog systems to the digital stuff we use today. We still keep some of the old parts around just in case. The team here knows their way around a circuit board. We don't use big words to describe what we do. If a speaker is buzzing, we find out why and fix it. If someone needs a setup for a local function, we get the gear ready. It’s straightforward work. We spend a lot of time soldering and checking connections. The shop floor is usually a maze of wires. It might look messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is. We just like working with sound and helping people get their audio working right without charging them an arm and a leg.
