Jsn Leather Company

Jsn Leather Company is basically just us working out of No. 58 Pillayar Koil Street. We’ve been here in Nagalkeni, Chromepet for quite a while now. The whole place smells like raw hides and leather oil, which is something you just get used to after the first week. It isn't a fancy office with a lobby or anything. It's more of a workshop where we spend our days cutting, sorting, and stitching. There are scraps of leather all over the floor by the time the afternoon rolls around. We usually keep the front door open to let some air in, and you can hear the local traffic from Pillayar Koil Street all day long. Chromepet is a busy area, but our little corner stays focused on the work. We use old benches that have seen better days, but they work fine for what we need. It’s a lot of manual labor, checking every piece of leather by hand to make sure it’s okay to use. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation; we just like the craft and keeping the shop running. Sometimes the machines get a bit loud, but that’s just how it goes in a leather shop. Most of the folks who work here live nearby, so it’s a very local vibe. We just show up, do the work at No. 58, and head home. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day.
