Our place is at No 34 on Muthaiya Main Street in Royapettah. It is easy to find if you know where the Icehouse Police Station is, as we are quite close to that and Lloyds Colony. Chennai can get really hot, so we usually have the fans going full speed most of the afternoon. The building is an older one but it stays relatively cool inside. We have been operating out of this Royapettah spot for some time now. The street gets quite narrow with all the bikes parked outside, so it can be a bit of a squeeze getting in. We are just a small group of people working here every day. We usually start our morning with some coffee from the place around the corner. The desks are a bit cluttered with papers and files, but that is just how we work. It is not a corporate setup with glass walls or anything. It is more of a traditional office where everyone knows each other. You can hear the noise from the main road throughout the day, which keeps us feeling connected to the city. We don't really do much in the way of big meetings. We just talk across the room if something needs to be sorted out. By the time evening rolls around, the street gets even busier, and we eventually lock up and head out. It is a decent place to spend the day and get the work done.
