S S Events

S S Events is based out of 7/1 Subedhar Hussain, right in the Border Thottam area off Mount Road. If you know Chennai, you know how busy Mount Road gets at all hours. We’re tucked away a little bit from the main rush, which is good for loading and unloading our stuff. It’s a small operation here. We spend a lot of time checking our inventory and making sure everything is ready for the next job. Most of the work happens outside at different venues, but this is where we plan everything out. It’s not a polished office with glass walls; it’s more of a workspace where we get our hands dirty. We’ve worked on a lot of small gatherings and some bigger ones too around this part of town. The neighbors know us, and we try not to block the street too much when the trucks are here. Managing events means there is always something going wrong at the last minute, like a bulb blowing or a curtain being too short, so we keep plenty of spares around. We just do what needs to be done to make sure things look right. It’s a lot of physical work and long nights, especially during the wedding season. Mount Road stays awake late, and often so do we. It's just us trying to do a decent job for people who need help with their celebrations. We keep at it because it’s what we know how to do.
