S S C Shoes Ltd. is based at 29, Evk Sampath Road, right in the P.O.Vepery area. If you walk into our space, the first thing you notice is the smell of materials and the sound of boxes being moved around. We have shoes stacked in almost every corner because there is always something coming in or going out. The building is an older one, and it has that specific feel of a place that has been through many rainy seasons. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because we are too busy checking the sizes and making sure the orders are right. The street outside is usually full of activity, with the post office nearby bringing in a lot of people. Our team is small, and we’ve mostly been working together for years. We know who is good at packing and who is better at handling the phone calls. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out or work by the light from the windows. It isn't a high-tech operation, just a lot of manual work and keeping an eye on the inventory. We have a routine that starts early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. Vepery can be a loud place, but once you are inside the office at number 29, you just focus on the shoes and the day’s work ahead.
