Roddys Sound Lights N Events

We are tucked away in the basement of Om Apartments on Medavakkam Tank Road. It is right across from KM Hospital in Kilpauk. Working in a basement means we do not get much sunlight, but it is a good place to store all the heavy gear we use for events. We have sound boards, rolls of cable, and various lights taking up most of the space. It smells a bit like electronics and old storage boxes down here. Most of our work happens at night or on weekends when the events are actually going on. During the day, we are usually down here checking the equipment to make sure everything still works. We spend a lot of time soldering wires or testing out speakers. It is a hands-on job, and our clothes usually get a bit dusty from moving things around. Kilpauk is a busy area, so getting the truck parked near the entrance can be a real headache sometimes. We are not a big corporate event company; we are more of a crew that knows how to handle the technical side of things. People come to us when they need stuff to work without a hitch. It is not a fancy office where you would want to wear a suit. We wear t-shirts and jeans because we are always lifting things. It is hard work, but we are used to it and like it.
