Red Chilli Cookhouse Llp

Red Chilli Cookhouse is tucked away on the 3rd floor of the Amaravathy Apartments in Mylapore. It is located on 2nd Main Road in C.I.T. Colony. It is a bit of an unusual spot for a kitchen, being upstairs like that, but it works for us. We spend most of our time getting the food ready for the day. The kitchen gets really hot, especially during the lunch rush when everything is moving at once. It is not a big corporate operation. We just like cooking and making sure people get a decent meal to eat. Sometimes we run out of ingredients and someone has to run down to the local market quickly. That happens more than I would like to admit. The staff is local, mostly guys who have been with us since we first opened the doors. We do not really do fancy advertisements or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people in or gets them to order from us. Working in Mylapore is nice because it is a busy area with a lot of history and old trees. Our space is functional, nothing more. We have a few tables but mostly we are focused on the cooking part of things. Cleaning up at the end of the night takes forever but it is just part of the job. We keep our heads down and keep the stoves going. It is a living.
