Raman Engg. Corporation

You can find us at 340 Thambu Chetty Street. Some of the older folks still call it by the old number, 164, so it can be a bit confusing if you aren't from around here. Raman Engg. Corporation is right in the middle of all the hardware and tool shops that this street is famous for. It’s a very old part of town and the buildings are packed close together. Our shop is quite narrow and goes back a long way, filled with all sorts of engineering parts and supplies. It is usually quite dark inside, even during the day, so we have plenty of lights on. The street outside is always noisy with carts and trucks loading and unloading goods. It’s a lot of work just moving things in and out through the narrow doorways. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team. We just open up in the morning and wait for the regulars to stop by. Sometimes we just sit and talk about how the street has changed over the last twenty years. There’s a lot of history in these walls. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny showroom. We just have the stuff people need for their machines and we know where everything is hidden on the shelves. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Most of our customers know us by name, which makes the long days feel a bit shorter.
