Raj Trading Company

If you go down to Sembudoss Street in the Parrys area, you’ll find our place on the first floor at No.29/3. It's a very busy and crowded street. There is always a lot of noise coming from the handcarts and the people shouting outside. Raj Trading Company has been in this particular building for quite a long time now. The stairs leading up are a bit narrow and they are definitely steep. We have a small office space up there. It’s mostly filled with product samples and piles of old files. We trade in various kinds of goods. It really just depends on what is currently in demand in the market. Parrys is a tough place to work because of the crowds but it’s where all the action happens. We end up drinking a lot of tea while we sit and talk to our customers. My uncle was the one who started this business and now I am the one running it. We don't really use much technology here. Just a basic phone and some old notebooks. It works well enough for us. Sometimes we have to stay quite late in the evening to finish up the day's accounts. The lights in the main hallway flicker a little bit. We should probably get someone to fix that soon. We know almost all the other traders on this street. It’s a tight community. We just do our trade and then go home.
