Our company, R Taec Engineering India (P) Ltd., is located at 54, Sidco Industrial Estate in Thirumazhisai. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by other workshops and factories. It’s a noisy place with the sound of machinery and trucks constantly in the background. Our unit at number 54 is where all the engineering work happens. It’s not a polished corporate office. The floors are concrete, and there’s usually a bit of grease or metal shavings around if you aren't careful. We spend our days working on various engineering projects, often with the bay doors wide open to catch whatever breeze we can get. Thirumazhisai is a bit of a drive from the main city, so most of us spend a fair amount of time commuting. The Sidco area has its own vibe—it’s all about production and getting things built. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor or huddled around a drawing. It’s a practical environment for people who like to build things. Sometimes the heat in the industrial shed gets intense, but we have big fans to keep the air moving. We’ve been part of this estate for quite some time now, and we just focus on the technical tasks that come our way each morning. It is hard work but it keeps us busy and moving forward.
