R M Acadamy is located over in Jothi Nagar, which is part of the Thiruvottiyur area in Chennai. Our door is at No 18/1 on 9th Street. Most people know the neighborhood because of the Murugan Kovil nearby, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time. We’ve been operating from this spot for a while. It’s a local place through and through. The street can get a bit narrow, and when there’s a festival at the temple, things get very lively around here. We have a few rooms where we sit and work with the students. It’s not a polished corporate environment. We use fans instead of fancy cooling systems, and the walls have a few marks here and there. It’s a lived-in space. Most of us who work here live just a few streets away, so we walk to work. We started this because there weren't many options for this kind of help in Thiruvottiyur. We keep things pretty simple. There’s a small area where people can wait, and we have our boards and books ready for the sessions. You’ll usually hear the sounds of the neighborhood coming through the windows while we work. It’s just a basic setup where we try to be helpful to the kids and families around Jothi Nagar. We don't have a big marketing budget, so we just rely on being here every day.
