Up on Thirumurugan Salai in Chitlapakkam, you’ll find our little office at No 15. We’ve been here in Chennai 64 for quite a bit now. Professional Consultancy is just a small group of us who know our way around various bits of paperwork and advice. It’s a local spot, nothing like those big firms in the city center. The street outside can get a bit dusty when it’s dry, and when the rains come, it’s a whole different story. We spend most of our time talking to people who stop by needing help with one thing or another. It’s mostly just sitting at desks and going through files. The office itself is pretty simple, with a few old fans that we keep running all day to beat the Chennai heat. We know the neighbors and the guy who runs the shop at the corner. It feels like a real community here. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to do a decent job for anyone who walks through the door. Sometimes the internet is slow, or the phone won't stop ringing, but we just take it as it comes. It’s a quiet life for the most part. We like being in Chitlapakkam because it’s a bit away from the main chaos of the city. We just stay busy and try to keep things organized for ourselves and the people we help. It is basic work but someone has to do it correctly.
