Down in Chennai, near the Thiruvanmiyur area, we have our setup at Sri Vignesh Flats. It’s on South Mada Street, specifically floor 6, number 1. Being so close to the temple and the beach means the air is always a bit salty and there’s often the sound of bells or traffic in the background. We are 1800Bpo India Private Limited, but it’s not some massive call center like you see in the movies. It’s a small team working out of a flat. We handle a lot of data and phone calls, which can get pretty repetitive, but we’ve got a good group here. The office is basically just a few rooms with workstations crammed in. We don’t have much room for fancy stuff. There’s a small balcony where we go to get some air when the phones are quiet. Thiruvanmiyur is a nice place to be, even if parking is a total disaster on South Mada Street. We usually just take the bus or walk. We’ve had to fix the air conditioning a couple of times because the Chennai heat is no joke, especially in a small flat. We don’t have any big corporate goals other than doing a good job for the clients we have and making sure we get home on time. It’s a simple operation, run by people who just want to do their work and go home. That is really all there is to our story.
