Down in Chennai, you can find us at C2 8 Serene Acres in Thorapakkam. It’s right near the big IT corridor, but the complex itself is a bit more relaxed than the massive glass buildings you see down the road. This is where we run the Accenture Management Consulting operations for this side of the city. The office space is okay, nothing too fancy, just enough room for the team to sit and work through their tasks. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, and sometimes you can see the traffic piling up towards OMR. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of typing and people talking over the phone to clients. We try to keep things organized, but on busy weeks, it’s hard to keep the files from piling up. We have a small table in the corner where we eat our lunch together most days. It’s a good way to take a break from the data and the planning. The air conditioning is usually running full blast because of the Chennai heat, and someone is always complaining it’s too cold while someone else says it’s too hot. It is just a normal group of people working hard. We don't spend much time on decorations or making things look perfect. We focus on getting through the workload and making sure the numbers make sense before we head home for the day. It’s a practical space for practical work.
