Prasanthi Driving School

We run Prasanthi Driving School based in Koyambedu, which everyone knows is a very busy part of Chennai. Our driving school is right in the middle of all that activity and noise. We have a couple of cars that we use for our daily lessons. Learning to drive here is a bit of a challenge because of the buses and the market traffic, but if you can drive in Koyambedu, you can drive anywhere else. We take people out in the early mornings mostly, when it is a bit calmer on the streets. Our instructors are just local guys who know the roads around Chennai very well. We do not have a big fancy office, just a small place to sit and talk about the basic rules. We help people fill out their forms and get their learners' permits from the office. It is a straightforward process. Most of our students are nervous teenagers or adults who finally decided it was time to learn. We do not use any special gimmicks or tricks. We just sit in the passenger seat and guide you through the turns and the traffic. Chennai weather can be very hot, so we try to get the lessons done before it gets too sunny. People find us because we have been here for a while. We just keep things simple and practical for everyone. It is rewarding to see someone finally get their license after a few weeks of practice. We stay quite busy all year with different types of learners.
