Practicing As Advocate

I have been working as an advocate here in Ambathur for quite some time now. The office is located right on Old Township Road, just upstairs at number 8. It is a busy part of Chennai, and there is always something going on outside the window. People come in with all sorts of legal questions. Some are small matters, while others take many months to sort out. I spend a lot of my day reading through papers or heading over to the courts. It isn’t a fancy setup with a big lobby or anything like that. It is just a desk, some chairs for clients, and stacks of files that seem to grow every single week. I moved into this spot because it is easy for people in the neighborhood to find. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and drafting documents until late in the evening. Sometimes the traffic on the road gets loud, but you get used to it after a while. I try to keep things straightforward when explaining things to folks who walk in. Dealing with law can be confusing for most, so I just say it as it is. It is just me here most of the time, keeping track of dates and filings. If you are looking for the place, look for the stairs near the shop on the ground floor. It’s a plain door. I don't really do much advertising, mostly just people from around here who know the address.
