Mat House

Mat House is located at No. 8 Arcot Road in Porur. Arcot Road is always full of vehicles and people moving around, so it’s a very active spot. We have a small storefront where we keep all kinds of mats. There are floor mats, door mats, and some larger ones for different uses. We have been in Porur for some time now and we see many familiar faces. The shop is not very big, so we have to stack the mats high up on the shelves. Sometimes the pile gets a bit messy when people are looking through the different colors and patterns. We don't use any high-tech systems here. We just show you what we have and you can feel the material for yourself. It’s a simple business. People come in looking for something to put at their front door or maybe something for their office. We don't do any big marketing campaigns. Most people just see the sign while they are stuck in traffic on Arcot Road. We have different materials like coir, rubber, and plastic. It’s interesting how many different types of mats there are when you really look at them. We spend our day helping people choose and rolling up the ones they buy. It’s a nice way to spend the day, right here in the heart of Porur.
