Poona Engineering Company

Poona Engineering Company is right on Broadway at number 148. It’s an old part of the city, and the building reflects that. We have been here for quite some time now. The floors are a bit uneven and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. Broadway is always buzzing with noise—horns honking, people shouting, and the general hum of the city. We sort of blend into that background. Inside, it smells a bit like oil and metal, which is expected for an engineering place. We have our tools and machines set up in a way that makes sense to us, even if it looks a bit chaotic to an outsider. We aren't big on formalities here. If you come by, you’ll likely find us in our work clothes, probably busy with a project. It’s hard work and the days can be long, but we prefer it that way. We don't have a fancy showroom or a smooth-talking salesperson. It’s just us and our machines. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit for it to come back on, but we just use that time to grab a tea and chat about things. It’s a straightforward life, and we wouldn't have it any other way. The morning light hits the front window just right, and it’s the best part of the day before the street gets too loud.
