Perungudi Engineering Cluster (P) Ltd. is located over at 50 Santhiappan Salai. We are on the 2nd Cross Street in Thiruvengadam Nagar, which is part of the Kandanchavadi area. It is a bit of a mouthful to explain the address, but once you get here, it’s a pretty standard setup. We are a group of engineers and technicians working together under one roof. The idea was to have a space where different engineering tasks could happen in one cluster. It gets busy because there is always something different going on. One corner might be doing machining while another is looking at designs. We don't have fancy lobbies or a receptionist to greet you. Usually, you just walk in and find whoever is available. We wear work clothes that usually have a few grease marks because we actually get our hands on the machines. Kandanchavadi is an active industrial spot, so we fit right in with the surrounding businesses. We share tools sometimes and help out other shops nearby if they are stuck. It isn't a high-tech corporate lab. It’s a real workshop with real problems to solve. We like the collaborative feel of the cluster. It’s just a bunch of us working hard to get the engineering jobs done right for the people who come to see us. We focus on the task at hand and move on.
