Our office is located in Salma Flats, which is on Parankusapuram Street in Kodambakkam. It’s a residential-feeling area, so it’s a bit quieter than the main roads in Chennai, which we appreciate. We’ve been here at number 41/11 for some time now. We basically spend our days looking for people to fill various job openings for different companies. It’s a lot of searching through databases and calling folks to see if they’re interested in a new role or a career move. It isn’t always glamorous, and there is a lot of waiting for people to call back, but it keeps us busy. The office is small and feels a bit like a home because it’s actually in a flat. We have a few desks and some old filing cabinets that are getting pretty full of records. We don’t use any fancy expensive software for everything; a lot of it is just notes, folders, and spreadsheets. Most of our work is done over the phone or via email. Kodambakkam is a nice part of town, and we like being based here because it feels like a real neighborhood. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a big lobby or expensive furniture. We just focus on the task of finding the right person for the right job. Sometimes it takes a long time to find a match, and sometimes we get lucky and find someone right away. It’s just the nature of the business. We try to stay honest with both the companies and the workers. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation for us.
