Our place is located at No 15 on Evk Sampath Salai. Being so near the Egmore Railway Station makes it really easy for anyone who is traveling from a distance. You can actually hear the trains sometimes if the wind happens to be blowing the right way. Vepery is a very crowded place, but it has a lot of life in the streets. Periyar Coaching Centre Periyar Thidal has been sitting in this spot for a good while. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles or fancy decorations. It is just a very straightforward setup. We show up, we set out all the materials, and we wait for the students to arrive. The address is pretty easy to explain to delivery people or any newcomers because of the big station nearby. We spend our days mostly inside these four walls. It is not a corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. Just some regular rooms with regular people working in them. Sometimes we have to move the chairs around just to make a little more space for everyone. We handle all our own paperwork and keep things running as best as we can. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open for a bit of a breeze from the street. Being on Evk Sampath Salai means there is always something happening right outside our front door. We have grown fond of the noise and the busy atmosphere.
