Our place is over on Ramamurthy Street, number 16/2, in the Andavar Nagar area of Kodambakkam. It’s a lively part of Chennai to be in. We work out of a building that feels like it’s been part of the neighborhood forever. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of desks and people on phones or computers. We deal with a lot of people every day, so the office can get pretty noisy with all the chatter. There’s a small tea stall just down the road where most of us go during the break. The office doesn’t have those fancy glass partitions you see in new buildings. We just have regular desks and chairs that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time talking and coordinating things. Sometimes the stairs are a bit narrow when everyone is trying to leave at once. We have a lot of files and some old posters on the walls. It’s a very practical work environment. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor. We are more interested in getting through the daily tasks. Kodambakkam is always bustling, and we feel like a real part of that energy. The rain sometimes leaks a little near the front door, but we just put a bucket there and keep working. It’s just how things are here, and we like the rhythm of it. We have some old fans that wobble a bit.
