Peeksigns

We are Peeksigns, located at No. 35 on Kamaraj Avenue, specifically on 2nd Street in Adyar. Being in Adyar is great because there is a lot of energy in this part of town. Our shop is a straightforward place where we focus on making signs that actually work for people. We don't have a big corporate philosophy or anything like that. We just show up every morning, open the doors, and get to work on whatever is on the bench that day. 2nd Street is usually quiet enough that we can focus, though the usual city sounds are always there in the background. We spend a lot of time working with our hands, measuring things out and making sure the letters are straight. It's not always perfect, and sometimes we have to redo a bit here and there, but that’s just how it goes when you’re making things. We’ve got a small group of people here who have been doing this for years. We like the fact that we can see the results of our work out on the streets of the city. It’s a practical job and we take it one day at a time. We don't try to be something we’re not. We’re just a local sign shop doing our best to stay busy and keep the lights on. The wooden door to the shop sticks a little when it rains, so you have to give it a good push to get inside.
