You can find us, M. S. Naina Mohamed Sons, over at No. 256 Linghi Chetty Street in the Parrys area. If you’ve ever been to Parrys, you know it’s one of the most crowded and energetic parts of town. Linghi Chetty Street is famous for its hardware and trade shops, and we’ve been part of that landscape for quite some time. The building is old, like most things around here, and it’s got a lot of character. We don’t have a lot of space, but we make use of every inch we’ve got. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there’s always someone around who knows the history of the place. We don't use fancy computers for everything; sometimes a pen and a notebook are just easier. The street outside is always full of people, carts, and motorcycles, so it’s never quiet. We deal with all sorts of items, mostly stuff that people in the building trade need. We don't have a fancy showroom. You just walk in, tell us what you’re looking for, and we see if we have it in the back or if we need to get it brought in. It’s a very old-school way of doing things, but it works for the people who come to Parrys. We like the hustle and bustle of Linghi Chetty Street. It keeps us on our toes. It’s just us doing what we’ve always done, day in and day out, without making a big fuss.
