Padma Engineering

You can find Padma Engineering over on Kaladi Street in M.G.R. Nagar. We are tucked away in Paruthipattu, which is part of Avadi. It’s a busy little spot, and we’ve been here at number 7/9 for several years now. The shop is filled with various tools, lathes, and pieces of heavy equipment that we use for different engineering tasks. It’s not a quiet place. There is always the sound of grinding or metal being moved around. We don’t have a lot of space, so we have to be smart about where we put everything. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded with delivery trucks, but the neighbors are used to it. We take on all kinds of small jobs that come our way from local residents or other small businesses. The people working here are mostly folks from the surrounding neighborhood. We aren't a big corporation with many layers of management. If you have a question, you just talk to the person holding the wrench. We try to keep our prices fair because we know everyone is trying to get by. Some days are busier than others, especially when a few big projects land at the same time. We just take it one step at a time and do the best we can with the tools we have. It’s a lot of manual labor and figuring out how to fix things that have broken down. We like being in Avadi and being part of the local mix of shops that keep the area moving.
