Pachaiyappa'S College

Pachaiyappa'S College has been sitting on Poonamallee High Road for a very long time. If you live in Chennai you have probably passed by the big gates at some point. It is a large old place with a lot of history in the walls and floors. The traffic on the high road is always loud but once you get inside it settles down a bit. We have plenty of students coming in from all over Tamil Nadu mostly taking the local bus or the train. The 600030 area is pretty busy every single day. The buildings show their age with the high ceilings and thick walls that stay a bit cooler in the Chennai heat. We do not spend much on fancy decorations or anything. It is mostly just classrooms and labs and the sound of students talking in the corridors between their lectures. We deal with a lot of paperwork and making sure the exam schedules work out for everyone. Sometimes the ceiling fans are a bit noisy but they keep the air moving in the rooms. It is a practical place for getting a degree. People come here because it is a known spot in the city. We open the gates early and stay open until late especially during the exam seasons when everyone is stressed out. It is just a regular part of life on Poonamallee High Road. We keep the place running and wait for the next batch of students every year.
