You can find Om Maruthi Driving School over in Anna Nagar West, specifically in Vaigai Colony. We are on 19th Street, right near MGR Medical Stores. It’s a busy spot, so there is always something going on outside our door. We’ve been helping people from around this part of Chennai get behind the wheel for a good number of years. The heat can get pretty bad in the afternoons, but we still head out for the scheduled slots. It’s mostly local residents coming in. They want to learn how to navigate these tight streets without scratching the paint. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a simple room with some chairs and a desk where we keep the registers. Most people find us because they live nearby or their neighbor mentioned us. We deal with all sorts, from teenagers who are excited to drive to older people who are a bit hesitant. Driving in Chennai traffic takes a lot of patience, and we have plenty of that. We spend a lot of time talking about mirrors and signals. Sometimes we have to wait for the rain to stop before heading out, but usually, we are on the road. It’s a practical business. No big promises, just sitting in the car and getting the hours in until the student feels okay on their own. That’s how we do things here and we keep it simple for everyone.
