Octopus Marine

Octopus Marine is located at 78 East Madha Church Street. It is a fairly quiet part of the neighborhood, though it picks up when the boats are coming in or going out. We have got a lot of gear stacked up inside the shop. It is not the most organized place, but we usually know exactly where everything is if you ask. There is a certain smell to a marine shop, a mix of rope, some oil, and a bit of salt air. We spend most of our time talking to people who spend their lives on the water. It is a small team here, just a few of us who have been around boats for a long time. We do not wear uniforms or anything like that. Most days, you will find us in jeans and t-shirts, moving boxes or checking over inventory. The street outside is narrow, so parking can be a bit of a headache if you have a big vehicle. We have been at this address long enough that the locals do not even need the number anymore. Sometimes we just sit out front and watch the traffic go by when things get slow. We do not have a fancy website or a big marketing plan. We just open the doors in the morning and see who comes in. It is a simple way to run a business, and it seems to work for us. If you need something for a boat, we probably have it buried somewhere in the back.
