Our office is situated at number 17 on Salai Vinayagar Kovil Street, right in the heart of Parrys near Broadway. If you are familiar with Chennai, you know that Parrys is one of the most hectic and crowded areas you can find. The streets are very narrow and there are people, carts, and vehicles everywhere you look. It is a lot of noise and constant energy, which is just something you get used to when you work here. We deal with things related to the shipping and port side of things, so there is always a mountain of paperwork to get through every day. Our workspace is not very big and it is usually filled with folders and stacks of documents piled up on the desks. We spend most of the day on the computer or talking to people over the phone to clear things up. Sometimes we have to walk over to other offices nearby to get things signed, and navigating the crowds on Broadway is a real task. The building is an old one with high ceilings, but it still gets quite warm during the summer months. We don't have any big signs out front to attract attention. People who need our help usually know exactly which door to knock on. We just try to get the daily tasks done and make sure all the numbers match up at the end of the day before we lock up.
