Nayeem Biryani Stall

Nayeem Biryani Stall is situated on the first floor of a building in Periamet. The address is 63 Wuthucattan Street, though some people still know it as the old number 41. We are close to Vepry High Road. It is a small stall and we don't try to do too many things. We mainly just cook biryani. We start the fire early in the morning and get the big pots going. By lunchtime, we are ready to serve. The street is always full of people because of all the local shops, so we get a lot of workers coming in for a meal. The place is small and can get quite crowded and hot when it’s busy. We don't have any fancy posters or a big marketing budget. Most of our customers just follow the smell of the food or come because they’ve been eating here for years. The stairs leading up to our stall are a bit narrow and steep, so people have to take their time. We use traditional copper pots for the cooking and keep the recipe the same every day. We try to keep our prices low so that everyone who works in the neighborhood can afford to eat here. It’s just a few of us running the whole thing. We aren't a big company, just a small local stall trying to serve a good plate of rice. We have been here for a long time and the neighborhood feels like home.
